LONDON COLLEGE OF FASHION STUDENT PROJECT

Students of FDA Fashion Styling and Photography at the London College of Fashion were given the chance to express their own vision of camouflage through the Maharishi‘s current autumn / winter 2007 ‘The Rising Seas’ collection look book. The project also features garments from the forthcoming Maharishi spring summer 2008 collection ‘The Natural Order’ and includes selected pieces of Maharishi‘s latest Andy Warhol collaboration.

The project was guided by the acclaimed photographer Mark Lebon and fashion designer Karen Savage, who also lecture at the London College of Fashion.

Maharishi spring summer 2008 ‘The Natural Order’ will be available at the Maharishi store, estore and usual stockists from January 2008.

Creative Directors of this project:

Mark Lebon
Mark Lebon is an acclaimed photographer who came to prominence in the 1980s as a key contributor to the aesthetic known as ‘Buffalo’, headed by stylist Ray Petri. And one of the contributors of the show studio. He teaches Fashion Photography on the FDA and BA in The London College of Fashion.

Karen Savage
Karen Savage is a Fashion designer, styling consultant and blogger. Her work has a political edge, examining issues around gender, femininity, identity and ethics. She also teaches styling on the FDA Fashion Styling course at The London College of Fashion.

London College of Fashion is part of University of the Arts London the largest university for art, design, fashion, communication and the performing arts in Europe.
