Oliver Peoples launch Mosley Tribes, collaborating with London’s luxury street wear label Maharishi, on some limited edition eyewear. The sunglass incorporates DPM: Bonsai Forest camouflage on the stems, custom case and lens cloth and also includes three interchangeable lenses; Grey , Silver Mirror and Shooter Yellow.

The packaging is inspired by the US Army protective goggle 1980’s issue and details the qualities of the various lenses.

The eyewear case liner is an orange blaize version of the DPM Bonsai Forest pattern, referencing the beacon colour used in hunting patterns is some US states as well as the high vis reverse of much US Army field equipment.
Hypebeast presented the release : “Sharing a common agenda of creating high quality and sophisticated pieces for the market, it was only a matter of time before Mosley Tribes and Hardy Blechman’s Maharishi teamed up for this limited edition sunglass release. Aside from the clothing and art exploits of Maharishi, Hardy Blechman worked extensively on DPM, a book outlining the history and styles of camouflage over the years and the evolution of its uses into civilian society. Mosley Tribes emerged from the shadows of Oliver Peoples to create a new brand with different inspirations. This collaborative eyewear set takes into account maharishi’s refined nature incorporating intricate detailing. Three separate exchangeable lenses are available, Shooter Yellow, Silver Mirror and Grey Gradient. Available this Friday at maharishi, Barney’s Co-op and other fine retailers” /http://hypebeast.com/2007/12/maharishi-x-mosley-tribes/.

DPM aim to disassociate camouflage from the military, reconnect it to its roots in nature and highlight its development by artists.
