In Winter 2006 Maharishi embarked on a Polar (Shift) Exploration, revealing melting of the ice cap. Summer 2007 explored global warming through Desert Reform and the resultant Rising Seas were the focus and inspiration for the Winter 2007 collection.
Summer 2008 looks at The Natural Order in this theoretical situation, where nature’s 26000 cycle repeats itself, with a return of an Ice Age. After the flood waters recede, mankind looks upon a new green world. The earth has regenerated, spreading rainforest across its surface. Humans once again live admidst nature, beginning again to venerate animals and plants.
Culture no longer exists and we adorn ourselves with skulls, feathers, skins and images of plants, inspiring embroidery and print designs on both classic and new Maharishi styles, in fabrics reflecting our tropical surroundings. We are now civilised savages, remembering little of our technologically advanced past, exploring nature’s plants and the powerful psychedelic healing medicines therein.
From ayahuasca to ibogaine (aka I begin again), powerful plant hallucinogens show the new shamans visions of tiger and snake gods, teaching man how to reconnect with a natural order almost lost in the 21st century.
