
Through their piss painting collaboration in the mid 80’s Warhol and Basquiat starting exploring the world of the disruptive pattern together. After producing 12″ figures in their likeness, in collaboration with Japanese Medicom, Maharishi employed the legend and friend of Andy Warhol, Isabella Blow, to style the toys, together with renowned hair stylist Eugen Souleiman and photographer Norbert Schoerner, creatively directed by Hardy Blechman in collaboration with Olympia Le Tan. The two iconic artists come back to life wearing Maharishi’s AW05 collections, featuring camouflage patterns and Original Snopants.


The campaign was inspired by photographs of Andy Warhol dressed and made-up as a woman, taken by Christopher Makos in 1981.
